Abstract:
A Larix and　Picea abies plantaion forest has been investigated to examine its stand structure and dynamics. A study plot is located in compartment 139 of the Tomakomai Experimental Forest with area 0.2-ha was introduced in 1981, followed by repeated tree censuses (5-8year interval). The census targeted trees with diameter at breast height (dbh) equal to or larger than 6-cm in the plot. Trees were identified, and their dbh (or girth at breast height), height and location (x-y coordinate) were recorded.
