| Abstract: |
This investigation studies the dynamic state of a Lalix kaempferi plantaion forest. "Mukai 8-sen area" in the Teshio Experimental Forest has various plantaion forests. Lalix kaempferi plantaion forest is in compartment 125 of the Teshio Experimental Forest. This area is suitable for research of the dynamic state of a Lalix kaempferi plantaion forest. This Long-term permanent plot with area 0.5-ha was introduced in 1996, followed by repeated tree censuses (at about 5 or 10 year interval).

この研究の目的は、カラマツ人工林の成績（植えた木の生長が良いか、悪いか等）を調査することである。北海道大学 天塩研究林 向八線地区（むかい はっせん ちく）には、様々な造林地がある。とりわけ、125林班にカラマツ造林地あり、本研究に適した場所である。そこで当該地におけるカラマツ人工林の推移を観察するため、1996（平成8）年に調査区を設定した。この調査区は「向八線 カラマツ人工林 (むかい はっせん からまつ じんこうりん)」と名付けられた。調査区の形状は100m x 50m、面積は約0.5haである。5-10年間隔で、調査区内の樹木の種類、本数、胸高周囲長などを計測している。
なお、長期観察林の調査は、以下の試験課題として実施した。
