| Abstract: |
In Hokkaido University, Tomakomai Experimental Forest, compartment 211, the dynamics of Larch plantation forest were investigated at the stand.Larch was planted in 1953. In 1985, a tree census with an area of 0.20 ha (40 m x 50 m) was established. The census interval was 8-years for the 1st, 3rd census. After the 3rd census, there were conducted at 5-year intervals. At the 1st time and 2nd time census, we measured Diameter at breast height (DBH). After the 3rd time, we measured Girth at breast height (GBH). Besides, there are multiple years of logging records in compartment 211.

北海道大学苫小牧研究林211林班カラマツ人工林の動態を調査した。調査区のカラマツは1953年に植栽された。1985年に面積0.20 ha （40ｍ×50ｍ）の調査区を設けた。調査間隔は1-3回目は8年間隔、3回目以後は5年間隔で調査を実施した。調査項目は1, 2回目は胸高直径を、3回目調査以降は胸高周囲長を計測した。また、調査区の立地する211林班では複数年にわたって伐採の履歴が存在する。

Before 1999, diameter at breast height (DBH: 1.3 m above ground) was measured with a caliper (2 cm unit). Since 1999, girth at breast height (GBH: 1.3 m above ground) was measured with a steel tape and converted into diameter.
