"In Hokkaido University, Uryu Experimental Forest, compartment 128, the dynamics of mixd forest . In 1993, a tree census with an area of 0.50 ha (100 m x 50 m) was established .
The diameter at breast height (DBH), tree height, Height of the crown base, and crown width were measured at 5-10 year intervals .
It was cut down in 1993.
The data for 1993 is the data before logging."

Grade of tree quality was classified into five categories (after the 'Terasaki'classification) for trees in coniferous forests.
