JaLTER Standard Data License

You may freely use a dataset to which this license is applied under the following conditions:

1. Non-commercial purpose

You shall use the dataset for non-commercial purpose only. You shall release your work derived from the dataset under a condition that utilization of your work will be permitted for non-commercial purpose only.

2. Restriction of redistribution

You shall not redistribute the dataset to a third party except your collaborators who receive the dataset from you. The license shall be applied to the collaborators, too.

3. Citation and acknowledgement

You shall cite and/or acknowledge the dataset properly. At least either citation or an acknowledgement shall be put in your work derived from the dataset.

If there are any regulation or convention for citation, you should format citation according to it. If not, the following format is recommended.

Creator(published year) Title, Publisher, URL.
For example: Ohte, N.(2008) Hydrochemical data in Kiryu Experimental watershed. JaLTER Network.

You may select a preferred format for an acknowledgement. An example is shown below:

In this paper, we use a dataset titled "Dataset Title"(URL of the dataset) created by Dr. Creator. We are deeply grateful to him.

4. Feedback

If you find any mistakes, errors, and incorrectness, etc., you shall inform the creator of the dataset about it as soon as possible.

When you produce academic work derived from the dataset, you shall provide a copy of it, or on-line access to the creator of the dataset.

5. Disclaimer

In no event shall all person who is involved in creation and publication of the dataset be liable for any damages arising in any way out of the use of the dataset.
