Japan–Russia Siberian Tall Tower Inland Observation Network (JR–STATION) is being operated by NIES (National Institute for Environmental Studies). At the JR–STATION site, Berezorechka (BRZ; 56°09′N, 84°20′E), in West Siberia, a light aircraft (An-2) measured vertical profiles of CO2 from the planetary boundary layer to the lower free troposphere. This project had been supported by the Global Environment Research Account for National Institutes (Estimation of CO2 and CH4 fluxes in Siberia using tower observation network), by Ministry of the Environment, Japan until March 2012.

Dataset contains vertical profile of CO2 concentration measured in situ at Siberia as well as the information of weather data (temperature, specific humidity, and potential temperature). See the publication listed below for more detailed information.

The data were processed and checked by the following Principal Investigator (PI).

Motoki Sasakawa <sasakawa(dot)motoki(at)nies(dot)go(dot)jp>
Toshinobu Machida <tmachida(at)nies(dot)go(dot)jp>

Before using the data in a presentation or publication, please contact the PIs to discuss the results as well as co-authorship and collaboration. In any case of presentation and publication, our publication should be cited.

Distribution of the data to a third person is prohibited.
