####### README ####### ODIAC version 2013a global high resolution fossil fuel CO2 emission dataset (ODIAC2013a) 1) Data format Dimension = 43200 (n of columns) x 21600 (n of rows) Data type = Float Byte order = Little endian Unit = Tonne Carbon/cell/month 2) Coordinate definition The emission fields are defined on a geographical (longitude and latitude) coordinate system. Longitude and latitude can be calculated as follows: Lon (i) = -180 + dx/2 + dx x i (i=0,43199) Lat (j) = 90 + dy/2 + dy x j (j=0,21599) where dx = dy = 30 arc-seconds (0.008333333333333 degrees or approximately 1km). 3) Contact The ODIAC team (help at odiac.org) Dr. Shamil Maksyutov (NIES contact point) National Institute for Environmental Studies, Japan. Dr. Tomohiro Oda (Project lead) Goddard Earth Science Technology and Research, Universities Space Research Association/Global Modeling and Assimilation Office, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, MD, USA.
