Measurement method:AOCC method: using automatic open-closed chamber based on the open-flow IRGA method (Steady state flow-through method)
Measuring system: AOCC system co-constructed with the investigators and JANS Co. Ltd.(Tokyo) and SENSA Co. Ltd. (Tokyo). Using PC for data logging and relay control; available for remote control and monitoring via LAN cable.
Instrument(s):
2-channel NDIR CO2 analyzer (BINOS 100, Germany)
Instrument(s):
Flow control: Mass flow controllers at 1.35L min-1
Instrument(s):
Chamber type: AOCC (Two-way air pressure driven open/close)
Sampling Area And Frequency:
CO2 efflux from soil surfaces was measured continuously on a secondary bload-leaf deciduous forest floor.
Sampling Description:
Continuous (only snow-free season);
60-min measuring cycle for 4 chambers, during each cycle every chamber should close for 30 minutes (first 15 min for purge and 15 min for measuring).
Auto-calibration for CO2 analyzer for every 4 cycles.
