Abstract:
A Larix plantaion forest has been investigated to examine its stand structure and dynamics. A study plot with area 0.12-ha was introduced in 1981, followed by repeated tree censuses (5-11year interval). (ja) 北海道大学苫小牧研究林139林班カラマツ人工林の林分構造および動態を調べるため、1981年に面積0.25haの調査区を設け、5-11年間隔で、本数、胸高周囲長を計測している. 1959(S34)年　新植　カラマツ　更新台帳番号95号 1981(S56）年8月6日　長期観察林10号　設定

The census targeted trees with diameter at breast height (dbh) equal to or larger than 6-cm in the plot. Trees were identified, and their dbh (or girth at breast height), height and location (x-y coordinate) were recorded.
(ja) 調査区内の胸高直径6cm以上の樹木の胸高直径（または周囲長）および樹高を計測. 樹種名、プロット内の位置座標を記録。
Sampling Area And Frequency:
The study plot is located in compartment 139 of the Tomakomai Experimental Forest. (ja) 調査地は苫小牧研究林139林班に位置する。
Sampling Description:
The size of the study plot is 2500m2(50*50m) (ja) プロットの面積は2500㎡（50*50m）
