Abstract:
A stand in the Panke forest reserve has been investigated to examine its stand structure and dynamics. A study plot with area 2.05-ha was introduced in 1971, followed by repeated tree censuses (at 5year interval)., 北海道大学中川研究林パンケ保存林の林分構造および動態を調べるため、1971年に面積2.05haの調査区を設け、5年間隔で、本数、胸高直径（周囲長）を計測している.

Description:

Location, 位置

The study plot is located in compartment 25 and 26 of the Nakagawa Experimental Forest., 調査地は中川研究林25・26林班に位置する. The size of the study plot is 5,000m2 (50×100 m).
Step 2:
Description:

Targets to measure,測定対象

The census targeted trees with diameter at breast height (1.3m) equal to or larger than 6-cm in the plot. Trees were identified by metal plate, and their species names were recorded.,調査区内の胸高直径6cm以上の樹木を対象とした. 金番で個体識別し、樹種名を記録した.

From 1971 to 1981,diameter at breast height was measured with a caliper., 測定対象木の胸高直径を輪尺を用いて計測（1971年から1981年まで）.
