Abstract:
The Mase rice paddy site, an AsiaFlux and JaLTER site, has been operated by National Institute for Agro-Environmental Sciences since 1999. The major objective of the study at the Mase site is to understand the GHGs and energy dynamics in rice paddy ecosystem. The site was situated in a farmer's commercial field and cultivated for a single crop of rice (Oryza Sativa L., c.v. Koshihikari) under the recommended practices in the area. This dataset was collected in order to know the actual crop growth in the field, which is one of the fundamental information for the study. 農業環境技術研究所の真瀬サイトは、1999年に測定を開始した。現在AsiaFluxとJaLTER(準サイト)に登録されている。研究の主目的は、水田生態系における温室効果ガスおよびエネルギーの動態を解明することである。サイトは、一般生産者のイネ(コシヒカリ)単作田に設置されており、慣行の管理が行われている。本データセットは、作物生育に関するモニタリングの基礎情報として取得されたものである。

Sampling, Processing and Quality Control Methods

Step by Step Procedures
Step 1:
Description:

Rice plants from 10 hills in the field were sampled every 2 weeks during the growing season. 圃場を10区分し、各区画から1株ずつ全10株を採取する。これを生育期間を通じて2週間毎に実施する。

Step 2:
Description:

The area of green leaves was directly measured with an optical leaf area meter for representative 4 hills to determine the mean specific leaf area (SLA). Different models of leaf area meter were used: a AAM-7 (Hayashi Denko, Tokyo, Japan) in 2001 to 2007 and a LI-3100C (LI-COR, Lincoln, NE, USA) in 2008 to 2010. 代表的な4株について緑色葉面積を葉面積計で測定する。葉面積の測定には、2000~2007年はAAM-7(林電工)、2008~2010年はLI-3100C(LI-COR)を用いた。

Step 3:
Description:

Dry weights of each part were measured after drying at 70 °C for 2 weeks. The green leaf area of each hill was then calculated by multiplying the SLA determined in Step 2 with the green leaf weight. The mean and standard deviation of the 10 hills were reported after conveted to an area basis using the hill density. 各器官に分解し70 ℃で2週間以上乾燥させたのち秤量を行った。各株の緑色葉乾燥重量にStep 2で求めたSLAを掛けて各株の緑色葉面積を算出した。さらに、収穫後測定した株密度を用いて単位土地面積当たりに換算し、10株の平均と標準偏差を求めた。
