Step 1:
Description:
Soil Respiration
Soil Respiration was measured using AOCC chamber using infrared gas analyzers (IRGA; LI-820, Li-Cor, Lincoln, NE), and a datalogger (CR10X, Campbell Scientific, Logan, UT).
Sampling Area And Frequency:
Plot size is 30 x 50 m2. CO2 efflux from soil surfaces was measured continuously on a evergreen coniferous forest floor. Study plot was established after the plantation of Cryptomeria japonica (Japanese cedar) in 1965.
Sampling Description:
The measurement cycle was repeated at intervals of three hours.
