Abstract:
We collected stream waters at the outlet of several watersheds in Uryu Experimental Forest. In each watershed, different forest management was conducted: clear-cutting, scarification, scarification with soil-replacement. Control(non-treatment) watershed was also established. After bringing samples to the laboratory, we measured pH and electric conductivity (EC), and then filtered the water samples using glass fiber filter (GF/F: 0.7μm) and kept it below 4 degree-C prior to further chemical analysis. We analyzed the concentrations of ions (Cl-, NO3-, SO42-, Na+,NH4+,K+,Mg2+,Ca2+) by using ionchromatography (Dionex, DX-500, ICS-1100) after the additional filtering with a 0.2 μm membrane filter. (ja) 雨龍研究林内の泥川上流域にある複数の集水域の出口において河川水を採水した.それぞれの集水域においては異なる森林施業:皆伐,ササ掻き起こし,表土戻しが行われた。何も処理を行わない対照区も設けられた。採取後、実験室に持ち帰り、pH, 電気伝導度(EC)を測定した。サンプル水はガラス繊維濾紙(GF/F: 0.7μm)を用いて速やかにろ過後,化学分析までの期間4℃以下で保存した.さらに0.2μmメンブレインフィルターでろ過後、ろ液のイオン成分(Cl-, NO3-, SO42-, Na+,NH4+, K+,Mg2+,Ca2+)をイオンクロマトグラフィー(Dionex, DX-500, ICS-1100)を用いて分析した。

Step 1:
Description:

Water Sampling / 採水

We collected water at the outlet of watersheds. Interval of the sampling during non-snowy season was 1-2 weeks until 2010, and then 1 month. During snowy season, the interval was 1 month.
(ja) 集水域末端にて河川水を採取した。サンプリング間隔(無雪期)は2010年までは1-2週間,2011年以降は1カ月間隔とした。積雪期には1カ月間隔とした。

Description:

Filterling and chemical analysis / ろ過と化学分析

After bringing to the laboratory, we measured pH and electric conductivity (EC). Then, we filtered water sample through glass fiber filter (Whatman, GF/F: 0.7μm) and stored below 4 degree-C until further processing. We analyzed the concentration of anion (Cl-, NO3-, SO42-) and cation (Na+, NH4+, K+, Mg2+, Ca2+) by using ion chromatography after the additional filtering with a 0.2 μm membrane filter.
(ja) 実験室に持ち帰り、pHと電気伝導度を測定した。その後ガラス繊維濾紙(ワットマン, GF/F: 0.7μm)を用いてろ過し、ろ液は分析までの期間4℃以下で保存した。さらに0.2μmメンブレインフィルターでろ過後、イオンクロマトグラフィーを用いて陰イオン(塩化物イオン,硝酸イオン,硫酸イオン)、陽イオン(ナトリウムイオン,アンモニウムイオン,カリウムイオン,マグネシウムイオン,カルシウムイオン)濃度を分析した。
